Seventeenth-ranked TianJin Rongcheng (5-27) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Bayi Fubang (17-15) in Tianjin on Friday. The visitors from Ningbo managed to secure only three-point victory 106-103. However their fans expected much easier game. TianJin Rongcheng trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 13 after three quarters before a 30-20 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 103-106 at the end of the game. Bayi Fubang outrebounded TianJin Rongcheng 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. The former international center ZhiZhi Wang (214-79) scored 31 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Ke Mo (210-82) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Bayi Fubang's coach Chang Bin Adijan used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Vernon Hamilton (183-84, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals and forward GuiJun Xu (202-80) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bayi Fubang moved-up to seventh place. TianJin Rongcheng lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
