Very predictable result in Malaga where second ranked Obradoiro CAB (24-4) defeated 14th ranked Clinicas Rincon (10-18) 66-54 on Friday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 23-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Obradoiro CAB outrebounded Clinicas Rincon 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Oriol Junyent (207-76) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Argentinian-Italian guard Javier Bulfoni (192-76) who added 13 points during the contest. Obradoiro CAB's coach Moncho Fernandez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Puerto Rican power forward Angel Garcia (210-88, college: Memphis) responded with 11 points and Venezuelan swingman Jhornan Zamora (193-89) scored 11 points. Obradoiro CAB have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-4 record behind leader CB Murcia. Clinicas Rincon lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. Obradoiro CAB will face league's leader CB Murcia at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Clinicas Rincon will play against Lobe Huesca (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
