Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Koroivos (5-13) was edged at home by seventh ranked Apollon Patras (9-9) 58-57 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 58-57. Serbian forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and guard Nikos Argyropoylos (188-78) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Apollon Patras' coach Nikos Vetoulas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Predrag Kosanovic (203-76, agency: BeoExcell) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and forward Takis Ifantis (203-80, agency: FCM) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Newly promoted Apollon Patras maintains seventh position with 9-9 record. Koroivos lost third consecutive game. Koroivos at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth place with 13 games lost. Apollon Patras will face league's second-placed Ikaroi Serron in Serres in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Koroivos will play on the road against the league's leader KAOD (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
