An interesting game took place in Malaga where 4th placed Bizkaia Bilbao (15-10) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Unicaja Malaga (13-12) 92-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bizkaia Bilbao. The game was mostly controlled by Unicaja Malaga. Bizkaia Bilbao was better in fourth quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Unicaja Malaga shot 61.4 percent from the field. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Gerald Fitch (191-82, college: Kentucky, agency: SportsTalent) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 assists. British forward Joel Freeland (208-87) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Aaron Jackson (193-86, college: Duquesne) answered with 16 points and Croatian forward Marko Banic (205-84) added 13 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in the effort for Bizkaia Bilbao. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Unicaja Malaga moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Bizkaia Bilbao at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Unicaja Malaga's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Real Madrid at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bizkaia Bilbao will play against Gran Canaria 2014 in Las Palmas.
