Regular Season Round 20: Trefl Sopot - Anwil 67-60

Date: March 12, 2011
Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Anwil (10-10) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Trefl Sopot (12-8) 67-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 42-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Filip Dylewicz (202-80, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Marcin Stefanski (200-83) chipped in 7 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Paul Miller (208-82, college: Wichita St.) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and international guard Dardan Berisha (192-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 8 points respectively for the guests. Anwil's coach Emir Mutapcic tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Trefl Sopot maintains fourth position with 12-8 record. Loser Anwil dropped to the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Polpharma. Trefl Sopot will meet Polonia Azbud (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Anwil will play against Energa Czarni (#3) in Slupsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
