Regular Season Round 28: Breogan - Planasa NV 73-68

An interesting game took place in Lugo where higher ranked Grupo Iruna Navarra (14-14) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (12-16) 73-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Grupo Iruna Navarra. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Grupo Iruna Navarra won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Leche Rio Breogan won last quarter 15-12. It was a great shooting night for Leche Rio Breogan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. It was a very good performance for Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Portuguese-Cape Verdean forward Joao Gomes (199-85) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American-Swedish power forward Jason Blair (201-79, college: San Diego) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Jose Gonzalez (185-80) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Grupo Iruna Navarra. Leche Rio Breogan moved-up to tenth place, which they share with La Palma and Lleida. Newly promoted Grupo Iruna Navarra keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan's next round opponent will be Fundacion Adepal (#17) in Alcazar and are hoping to win another game.
