The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Svit's (15-21) road victory over bottom-ranked Inter Bratislava (11-25) 68-59 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-59. It was an exceptional evening for forward Martin Bilik (194-87) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 4 assists. American forward Christopher Smith (198-82, college: St.Edward's) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Four Svit players scored in double figures. Bosnian center Stjepan Gavran (206-78) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Richard Kucsa (189-85) added 6 points, 12 assists and 4 steals respectively for Inter Bratislava in the defeat. Svit moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Prievidza and B.Bystrica. Inter Bratislava lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 25 games lost. Svit will meet at home higher ranked Levice (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Inter Bratislava will play against the league's second-placed Nova Ves (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
