Regular Season Round 28: PeKa - Espoo Team 81-68

Rather predictable result when first ranked Peli-Karhut (21-7) won against 3rd ranked Espoo Team (17-11) in Kotka 81-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Peli-Karhut. Espoo Team was better in fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: Va Commonwealth, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Shanika Freeman (183-83, college: Jacksonville St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. International power forward Niina Laaksonen (185-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and international forward Evita Iiskola (181-93) added 15 points in the effort for Espoo Team. Peli-Karhut won the regular season with 21-7 record. Espoo Team at the other side clinched the third spot with 11 games lost.
