A very interesting game took place in Barcelona. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Regal FC II (10-13) to tenth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (10-13) 86-84 in the fight for the eighth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Regal FC II. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Regal FC II won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fontedoso Carrefour made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game, while Regal FC II only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Regal FC II 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Regal FC II helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Charles Ramsdell (208-85, college: Tulsa, agency: Court Side) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Guard David Garcia (190-80) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. American forward Reginald Larry (201-86, college: Boise St.) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Eduardo Jimenez (188-84) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Four Fontedoso Carrefour and five Regal FC II players scored in double figures. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Regal FC II and Oviedo Feve. Fontedoso Carrefour's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Basquet Mallorca at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
