The game between Top Four teams took place in Dudelange. First ranked host T71 (18-4) defeated 3rd ranked Amicale (13-9) 77-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amicale. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-62. T71 outrebounded Amicale 46-26 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Frank Muller (194-88, college: Cuesta JC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American swingman Denell Stephens (193-86, college: Slippery Rock, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who added 18 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four T71 players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Eric Jeitz (191-86) responded with 22 points and American forward Louis Birdsong (198-88, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Amicale's coach Kresimir Basic rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. T71 have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-4 record. Amicale at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. They share the position with Basket Esch. T71 are looking forward to face league's second-placed Etzella in Ettelbruck in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amicale will play at home against Residence in Bereldange and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
