Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#1) and TTU/Kalev (#3). TTU/Kalev was defeated at home 73-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-73. Power forward Kristjan Kitsing (201-90) nailed 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and international swingman Gregor Arbet (194-83) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-DR Congolese forward Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for TTU/Kalev in the defeat. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Kalev/Cramo. They maintain first place with 28-3 record. Loser TTU/Kalev keeps the third position with seven games lost. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TTU/Kalev will play against KK Parnu and hope to secure a win.
