Important game to mention about took place in Dabrowa Gornicza. Second ranked MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza (21-7) saved a 1-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers ISS Sportino (20-8) 76-75 in the fight for the second place. It looked good early as ISS Sportino took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza had a 22-15 second period charge getting the lead and ISS Sportino was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-76. ISS Sportino was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mariusz Piotrkowski (197-84) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) who added 10 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and center Aleksander Lichodzijewski (202-84) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. ISS Sportino's coach Aleksander Krutikov tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-7 record having just two points less than leader Tempcold AZS. ISS Sportino at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Rosasport and Sokol Lancut. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play against Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ISS Sportino will play against SKK Siedlce (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
