Leader KAOD delivered the eighteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 15th ranked Koroivos (5-14) 93-73 in Dramas. The game without a history. KAOD led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Koroivos' 36 and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Koroivos 38-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Montenegrin center Ljubo Jovanovic (206-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Nikos Katsares (190-83) helped adding 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). KAOD's coach Fotis Takianos used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian forward Predrag Kosanovic (203-76, agency: BeoExcell) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and guard Nikos Pettas (195-81) scored 19 points. Five KAOD and four Koroivos players scored in double figures. KAOD (18-1) have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. They maintain first place. Koroivos lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. KAOD will meet Ikaroi Serron (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Koroivos will play against the league's second-placed AGOR (#2) in Rethymno and hope to secure a win.
