Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Kavala (10-11) and AEK (6-15), which took place in Athens. Higher ranked Kavala lost to thirteenth ranked AEK in a road game 64-79. It looked good early as Kavala took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then AEK had a 19-12 second period charge getting the lead and Kavala was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-79. AEK dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kavala's 18. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Dimos Dikoudis (207-77) chipped in 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). AEK moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Ilysiakos. Kavala at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost.
