No shocking result in a game when second ranked Okapi Aalstar (16-6) defeated at home 6th ranked Leuven Bears (7-12) 82-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-14. But Leuven Bears won second period 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American-Lithuanian power forward Christopher Young (206-79, college: Michigan, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Okapi Aalstar players scored in double figures. American guard James J.J. Miller (180-79, college: N.Carolina A&T, agency: Higher Vision Sports) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Brandon Freeman (191-83, college: UALR) added 18 points in the effort for Leuven Bears. Okapi Aalstar maintains second position with 16-6 record having just -1 points less than leader Charleroi. Leuven Bears at the other side keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Leuven Bears will play against the league's leader Spirou Charleroi and hope to get back on the winning track.
