No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Sorgues (15-12) beat at home 14th ranked Denek (12-15) 77-70 on Saturday. Denek was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-15 charge of Sorgues, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Serbian forward Slobodan Ocokoljic (204-80, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Center Xavier Pasut (200-84) contributed with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Larry Blair (183-84, college: Liberty, agency: JEMsports) answered with 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Boris Elisabeth-Mesnager (201-83, college: California, PA) added 15 points in the effort for Denek. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sorgues moved-up to sixth place, which they share with St Quentin and Blois. Loser Denek dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Sorgues will face Blois (#8) on the road in the next round. Denek will play against Lievin Basket.
