The game with biggest result difference took place in Rethymno. Local AGOR (14-6) outscored 16th ranked Near East (4-15) 114-70 on Saturday night. The game without a history. AGOR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 64.6 percent from the field. AGOR shot the lights out from three sinking 25 long-distance shots on high 65.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Near East's players. Guard Giannis Kiriakopoulos (185-83) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 15 assists and 4 steals (perfect behind the arc making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Serbian center Damir Latovic (204-80) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. AGOR's coach Stergios Koufos felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Elias Tomaras (181-81) produced 14 points (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Alkis Pappas (185-88, agency: FCM) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four AGOR and five Near East players scored in double figures. AGOR moved-up to second place. Near East lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. AGOR will face Koroivos (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Near East will play against Arkadikos in Arkadia.
