Regular Season Round 30: Rapla - Voru KK 94-88

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Voru KK (1-30) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Rapla (12-17) 94-88 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Voru KK won third quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rapla made 32-of-41 free shots (78.0 percent) during the game, while Voru KK only scored fifteen points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was swingman Rannar Raap (187-92) who scored 28 points. Power forward Raido Ringmets (204-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Curtis Allen (193-85, college: ORU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Juan Wyatt (203-84, college: Alcorn St.) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Four Rapla and five Voru KK players scored in double figures. Rapla moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valga/CKE. Voru KK lost seventeenth consecutive game. Voru KK at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 30 lost games. Rapla will meet at home TTU/Kalev II (#7) in the next round. Voru KK will have a break next round.
