The game in Oita was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (22-17) played at the court of 7th ranked Oita Heat Devils (16-23). Fukuoka Rizing did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 112-94 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Fukuoka Rizing's pressure prevailed and they won that period 35-23 extending their advantage to 18 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Oita Heat Devils' 38. They outrebounded Oita Heat Devils 46-28 including a 36-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fukuoka Rizing especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 17-of-22 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) accounted for 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Edge Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and guard Matt Lottich (193-82, college: Stanford) added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for Oita Heat Devils in the defeat. Fukuoka Rizing moved-up to third place, which they share with Shiga Lakestars. Loser Oita Heat Devils keep the seventh position with 23 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
