Regular Season Round 19: Panerythraikos - Olimpiada 93-73

There was a minor upset in New Eritrea where 12th ranked Olimpiada (7-12) was rolled over by fourteenth ranked Panerythraikos (7-12) 93-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Panerythraikos. Olimpiada was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Nikos Kourtis (195-77) fired 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Latvian forward Maris Laksa (207-81, college: Providence, agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Panerythraikos players scored in double figures. Panerythraikos' coach Dimitris Houhoulis let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Center Apostolos Koutroulias (206-76) produced 25 points and guard Nikos Makris (188-79) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Panerythraikos moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Pagrati and Olimpiada. Panerythraikos will face higher ranked Lavrio (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
