Sixth-ranked Shimane Magic (18-22) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Okinawa GK (25-15). The visitors from Okinawa managed to secure only one-point victory 70-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Shimane Magic cut a 14-point halftime deficit to one at the end of the game. Okinawa GK dominated on the defensive end, holding Shimane Magic to just 7 points in first quarter. American center Jeff Newton (205-81, college: Indiana) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Lanshire Group) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Okinawa GK's coach Dai Oketani allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Takumi Ishizaki (188-84) with 20 points and 6 assists and American forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Okinawa GK used an opportunity after Osaka Evessa lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the sixth place with 22 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
