Regular Season Round 26: CAI Zaragoza - Menorca 76-65
Date: March 20, 2011
No shocking result in a game when thirteenth ranked CAI Zaragoza (12-14) defeated at home bottom-ranked Menorca Basquet (5-21) 76-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by CAI Zaragoza. Menorca Basquet was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Argentinian-Italian guard Paolo Quinteros (186-79) who scored 13 points. Naturalized Brazilian center Rafael Hettsheimeir (206-86) chipped in 13 points. Five CAI Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Naturalized Brazilian center Caio Torres (211-87) produced 19 points and Israeli guard Raviv Limonad (192-84) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Menorca Basquet's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CAI Zaragoza have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted CAI Zaragoza maintains thirteenth position with 12-14 record. Menorca Basquet lost ninth consecutive game. Menorca Basquet at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom.
