American guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four VAP Kolossos players scored in double figures. American center Ryvon Covile (206-84, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: ZAG Advocates) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Nikos Barlos (202-79) added 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Panionios. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. VAP Kolossos moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Panionios. VAP Kolossos will face Ikaros (#10) in Kalitheas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Panionios will play on the road against Kavala (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
