Very important is a home loss of third ranked Snaidero Udine (16-8) against eighth ranked Fileni BPA (12-12) on Sunday night. Host Snaidero Udine was defeated by Fileni BPA in a tough game in Udine 74-80. Snaidero Udine was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 23-16 charge of Fileni BPA, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Slovenian forward Marko Tusek (203-75, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. The former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jason Williams (197-83, college: UTEP) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Finnish-American forward Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Snaidero Udine. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fileni BPA maintains eighth position with 12-12 record, which they share with Aget Imola. Snaidero Udine at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Barcellona. Fileni BPA will play against Naturhouse Ferrara (#11) at home in the next round. Snaidero Udine will play against MarcoPoloShop.it (#15) in Forli and hopes to get back on the winning track.
