Very expected game when 10th ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (10-14) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Sigma Barcellona (16-8) 86-82 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 51-45 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Panamanian guard Michael Hicks (193-76, college: Texas A&M - C.C.) who scored 30 points. Scottish-Nigerian power forward Kieron Achara (208-83, college: Duquesne) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Finnish power forward Tuukka Kotti (205-81, college: Providence) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (198-85) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Naturhouse Ferrara players scored in double figures. Sigma Barcellona moved-up to third place, which they share with Snaidero UD. Loser Naturhouse Ferrara dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Sigma Barcellona will face league's leader Fastweb CM in Casale in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Naturhouse Ferrara will play on the road against Fileni BPA (#9) in Jesi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
