Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Salon Vilpas (13-30) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Espoo Honka (24-17) 81-69 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. Guard Anselmi Vanjoki (193-88) fired 19 points for the winners. Power forward Samuli Vanttaja (210-91) chipped in 21 points. The former international forward Jukka Kataja (197-82) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Matti Nuutinen (200-90) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Five Espoo Honka and four Salon Vilpas players scored in double figures. Salon Vilpas' coach Kimmo Vyyrylainen rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Espoo Honka maintains fifth place with 24-17 record. Salon Vilpas lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 30 games lost. Espoo Honka will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
