Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked AZS Szczecin (11-18) was rolled over at home by seventh ranked Asecco Prokom 2 (18-11) 105-82 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Asecco Prokom 2. AZS Szczecin was better in second period 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asecco Prokom 2 shot 60.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Grzegorz Mordzak (183-77) chipped in 20 points and 8 assists. Five Asecco Prokom 2 players scored in double figures. Swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and center Karol Pytys (202-85) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. AZS Szczecin's coach Zbigniew Majcherek gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Asecco Prokom 2 maintains seventh place with 18-11 record. Newly promoted AZS Szczecin keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Asecco Prokom 2 will face higher ranked ISS Sportino (#3) in Inowroclaw in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS Szczecin will play on the road against Sokol Lancut (#5).
