No shocking result in a game in Barcelona where fourth ranked Promobys Tijola (17-8) defeated 9th ranked Regal FC II (11-14) 81-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 39-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Victor Perez (193-82) who scored 21 points. American forward Ryan McDade (201-80, college: N.Arizona) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Promobys Tijola's coach Antonio Herrera used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Reginald Larry (201-86, college: Boise St.) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Carles Marzo (190-92) added 18 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Promobys Tijola. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Andorra. Newly promoted Regal FC II keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Promobys Tijola will face league's second-placed Basquet Mallorca at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Regal FC II will play against the league's leader CB Clavijo (#1) in Logrono.
