Very expected game when 17th ranked CB Granada (5-22) lost on the road to sixth ranked Bizkaia Bilbao (16-11) 85-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bizkaia Bilbao led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for American guard Aaron Jackson (193-86, college: Duquesne) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American-Panamanian forward Chris Warren (196-81, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Bizkaia Bilbao players scored in double figures. Icelandic guard Jon Stefansson (196-82) answered with 10 points and 4 assists and Argentinian-Italian guard Nicolas Gianella (187-78) added 13 points in the effort for CB Granada. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bizkaia Bilbao moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Valladolid. CB Granada lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 22 games lost. Bizkaia Bilbao will face league's leader Regal FC Barcelona on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CB Granada will play against the league's second-placed Real Madrid (#2).
