Nafta Universitetas coasted past Akademija in the decisive third game of the eighth-final series. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta Universitetas. Akademija was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nafta Universitetas made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Akademija turnovers and outrebounded them 40-19 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Akademija was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Tomas Lekunas (195-93) answered with 25 points and forward Janas Jurgo (200-83) added 15 points in the effort for Akademija. Akademija's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win.
