Eleventh-ranked AZS Szczecin (11-19) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Sokol Lancut (21-9). Sokol Lancut managed to secure only five-point victory 79-74. However their fans expected much easier game. AZS Szczecin was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 21-11 third quarter run of Sokol Lancut. They tied the game at the end of regular time. Then they were better in overtime eventually winning that period 13-8. Sokol Lancut forced 21 AZS Szczecin turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by AZS Szczecin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Ireneusz Chromicz (200-77, college: Delaware St.) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Marcel Wilczek (200-86) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) by guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82) did not help to save the game for AZS Szczecin.
