An interesting game for KAOD (19-1) which played road game in Serres against 3rd ranked Ikaroi Serron (13-7). First ranked KAOD managed to get a 10-point victory 72-62. The game was mostly controlled by KAOD. Ikaroi Serron managed to win third quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian guard Ivan Vukantinov (193-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Montenegrin center Ljubo Jovanovic (206-87) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four KAOD players scored in double figures. Guard Kostas Totsios (191-78) replied with 25 points and 5 steals and power forward Thanasis Topouzis (205-77, college: S.Illinois) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Ikaroi Serron. KAOD have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-1 record. Ikaroi Serron at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. KAOD are looking forward to face Pagrati (#13) in Athens in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ikaroi Serron will play on the road against the league's second-placed AGOR (#2) in Rethymno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
