Very predictable result when first ranked Army Sport Klub (15-2) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (2-16) 102-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Army Sport Klub led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dinamo Tbilisi to just 6 points in first quarter. Army Sport Klub forced 22 Dinamo Tbilisi turnovers and outrebounded them 40-21 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Army Sport Klub especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Irakli Sakvarelidze (201-86, college: Dominican, NY) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90) helped adding 28 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). At the losing side guard Lasha Edzgveradze (185-87) responded with 22 points and guard Irakli Ivaneishvili (194-89) scored 10 points. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Davit Tortladze gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Army Sport Klub maintains first place with 15-2 record. Loser Dinamo Tbilisi stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Army Sport Klub will face Batumi (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dinamo Tbilisi will play against Kutaisi.
