An interesting game took place in Treviso, where 4th placed CS Bologna (12-11) lost to tenth ranked Benetton Treviso (11-12) in a road game 71-79 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-19. But CS Bologna won second period 18-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American swingman Devin Smith (196-81, college: Virginia) who scored 22 points. Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 22 points. American swingman K.C. Rivers (196-87, college: Clemson, agency: Lanshire Group) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Kennedy Winston (198-84, college: Alabama, agency: Priority Sports) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Benetton Treviso moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cimberio VA and Pepsi Caserta. Loser CS Bologna keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Benetton Treviso will face Angelico Biella (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CS Bologna will play against Dinamo Sassari (#12).
