Regular Season Round 31: A.Ford Burgos - Forca Lleida 80-68

Very expected game when 12th ranked Lleida Basquet (13-18) was defeated on the road by third ranked Ford Burgos (24-7) 80-68. It looked good early as Lleida Basquet took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ford Burgos had a 23-18 second period charge getting the lead and Lleida Basquet was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-80. Ford Burgos players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Hungarian power forward Peter Lorant (207-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Services) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (203-86) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Ford Burgos' coach Andreu Casadevall allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ghanian guard Alhaji Mohammed (192-81, college: Louisville, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 28 points and guard Marc Rubio (186-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lleida Basquet. Ford Burgos maintains third place with 24-7 record having just three points less than leader Obradoiro. Lleida Basquet at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Ford Burgos' next round opponent will be Melilla Baloncesto (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Lleida Basquet will play against Girona FC.
