Seventeenth-ranked Menorca Basquet (5-22) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Caja Laboral (17-10) in Mahon. The visitors from Vitoria managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 25-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was Bosnian forward Mirza Teletovic (206-85, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. International swingman Fernando San Emeterio (198-84) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Israeli guard Raviv Limonad (192-84) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Four Menorca Basquet players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Menorca Basquet lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom. Caja Laboral's next round opponent will be Asefa Estudiantes (#11) in Madrid and are hoping to win another game. Menorca Basquet will play on the road against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#8) in Madrid.
