Second Stage Round 6: Soleuvre - Black Star 78-86

Very important is a home loss of Soleuvre (7-15) against Black Star (3-19) on Sunday night. Host Soleuvre was defeated by Black Star in a tough game in Belvaux 78-86. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 24-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Black Star shot 61.8 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Black Star especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Billy McDaniel (201-84, college: Ark.-Monticello, agency: JEMsports) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Tom Rausch (183-90) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Impact Basketball) who recorded a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and forward David Controguerra (194-86) added 17 points respectively. Newly promoted Black Star maintains fourth position in Group B with 3-19 record. Loser Soleuvre keeps the second place with 15 games lost. Black Star will meet at home Musel Pikes in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Soleuvre will play against Contern and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
