We should mention about the upset which took place in Biella, where higher ranked Scavolini Pesaro (10-13) was outleveled in a road game by fourteenth ranked Angelico Biella (9-14) 88-64. The game without a history. Angelico Biella led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Angelico Biella forced 23 Scavolini Pesaro turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Matteo Soragna (198-75) who led the winners and scored 15 points. Croatian-Bosnian center Goran Suton (209-85, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Angelico Biella's coach Massimo Cancellieri felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Morris Almond (198-85, college: Rice) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Marco Cusin (211-85, agency: Interperformances) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Scavolini Pesaro in the defeat. Angelico Biella maintains fourteenth place with 9-14 record. Scavolini Pesaro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Angelico Biella's next round opponent will be higher ranked Benetton Treviso (#8) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
