BJ League top team - Hamamatsu Phoenix (35-5) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Akita Happinets (13-29) in Mikawa 117-99. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Akita Happinets managed to win fourth quarter 32-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamamatsu Phoenix shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Akita Happinets' players. American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Kenya Tomori (177-84) contributed with 25 points and 6 assists for the winners. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Kazuo Nakamura used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Will Graves (198-88, college: N.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Antonio Burks (198-82, college: Stephen F. Austin) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Akita Happinets. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hamamatsu Phoenix maintains first position with 35-5 record. Akita Happinets at the other side keep the sixth place with 29 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
