An interesting game took place in Santiado Estero where 8th ranked Gimnasia CR (14-14) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Quimsa (13-15) 74-61. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Quimsa's pressure prevailed and they won that period 14-8 extending their advantage to 13 points. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Julio Mazzaro (190-79) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Diego Lo Grippo (198-78) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (206-80, college: La Salle) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Fernando Funes (193-83) added 15 points in the effort for Gimnasia CR. Quimsa moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Club 9. Gimnasia CR lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Quimsa's next round opponent will be higher ranked Regatas Corrientes (#8) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
