Regular Season Round 44: Osaka Evessa - Oita H.Devils 91-80

BJ League top team - Osaka Evessa (27-15) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Oita Heat Devils (16-26) 91-80. The game was mostly controlled by Osaka Evessa. Oita Heat Devils was better in fourth quarter 30-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Osaka Evessa dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Oita Heat Devils' 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 6 rebounds and forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) who added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Osaka Evessa's coach Ryan Blackwell allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Edge Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and guard Matt Lottich (193-82, college: Stanford) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Osaka Evessa maintains first position with 27-15 record, which they share with Okinawa GK. Oita Heat Devils lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 26 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
