Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Saint-Quentin (16-12) outscored at home 11th ranked Saint Chamond (12-16) 102-77 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Saint-Quentin. Saint Chamond managed to win fourth quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saint-Quentin dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Saint Chamond's 32. They outrebounded Saint Chamond 42-20 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Keonta Howell (193-85, college: Toledo) who scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Center Roland N'Kembe (203-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and American-Italian forward Thomas Viglianco (206-83, college: Birmingham Souther) added 23 points respectively for the guests. Saint-Quentin moved-up to fifth place, which they share with St Etienne and Sorgues. Loser Saint Chamond dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
