The game in Shimane was also quite interesting. Third ranked Fukuoka Rizing (26-17) played at the court of 6th ranked Shimane Magic (20-23). Fukuoka Rizing did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 91-73 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 18 points. American swingman Michael Parker (200-81, college: Evergreen St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Terry Evans (196-86, college: Wisc.-Green Bay) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Shimane Magic in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 26-17 record having eight points less than leader Okinawa GK. Loser Shimane Magic keeps the sixth position with 23 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shimane Magic will play again against Fukuoka Rizing (#3) and hope to secure a win.
