Leader Army Sport Klub delivered the sixteenth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Batumi (6-12) 101-67 in Tbilisi. The game was mostly controlled by Army Sport Klub. Batumi managed to win third quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Army Sport Klub dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Batumi's 32 and made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Batumi 50-37 including 22 on the offensive glass. Army Sport Klub looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Kote Tugushi (192-84) who scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!). The former international forward Zviad Babiashvili (199-78) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Army Sport Klub's coach Levan Moseshvili felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Russian center Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-81) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Duda Sanadze (196-92) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Army Sport Klub and four Batumi players scored in double figures. Army Sport Klub have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Army Sport Klub maintains first position with 16-2 record. Batumi at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost.
