Everything went according to plan in Vitoria where fourth ranked Caja Laboral (18-10) outscored 10th ranked Asefa Estudiantes (14-14) 89-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Caja Laboral. Asefa Estudiantes was better in fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caja Laboral shot 61.8 percent from the field. Five Caja Laboral and four Asefa Estudiantes players scored in double figures. Asefa Estudiantes' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Caja Laboral have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 18-10 record. Loser Asefa Estudiantes keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Caja Laboral will face Assignia Manresa (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Asefa Estudiantes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Baloncesto Fuenlabrada.
