The game in Akita was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Niigata Albirex (19-19) played at the court of sixth ranked Akita Happinets (15-29). Akita Happinets did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 100-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Akita Happinets. Niigata Albirex was better in second period 27-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Niigata Albirex 52-35 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Akita Happinets looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a very good performance for American swingman Will Graves (198-88, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska, agency: Impact Basketball) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Trinidad and Tobago power forward Julius Ashby (205-82, college: Colorado) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) added 17 points in the effort for Niigata Albirex. Five Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets moved-up to fifth place. Niigata Albirex lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
