There was no surprise when 18th ranked Ourense (8-24) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Leche Rio Breogan (16-16) 77-71 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ourense won third quarter 23-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Leche Rio Breogan forced 19 Ourense turnovers. The best player for the winners was Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who scored 30 points and 5 rebounds. Center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Guard Jose Salvador Arco (194-84) produced 25 points and Ivorian-American forward Jonathan Kale (203-85, college: Providence) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Leche Rio Breogan have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Navarra and Caceres. Loser Ourense stay dead last with 24 lost games. Leche Rio Breogan will face Palencia Baloncesto (#16) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ourense will play against Melilla Baloncesto.
