Regular Season Round 28: Cajasol - Valencia 63-74

Date: April 3, 2011
Not a big story in a game in Sevilla where 12th ranked Cajasol (13-15) was defeated by third ranked Power Electronics Valencia (19-9) 74-63 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Montenegrin guard Omar-Sharif Cook (186-82, college: St.John's, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and Lithuanian center Robertas Javtokas (211-80, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Power Electronics Valencia players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Juan Triguero (208-83) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Txemi Urtasun (193-84, agency: Interperformances) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power Electronics Valencia have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-9 record having four points less than leader Regal Barca. Cajasol lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Power Electronics Valencia will face Meridiano Alicante (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cajasol will play against Menorca Basquet (#18) in Mahon.
