Fifth-ranked Beer Yaakov (13-13) was very close to win a game against third ranked Elitzur Yavne (17-9). Elitzur Yavne managed to secure only two-point victory 97-95. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 21-20 run, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-12. The best player for the winners was American guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fairleigh Dickinson) who scored 24 points and 6 assists. The other American import forward Kyle Wilson (206-83, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Jermaine Hall (196-80, college: Wagner) produced 28 points and 7 rebounds and American-Cape Verdean guard Joshua Gomes (190-83, college: E.Illinois) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Beer Yaakov's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Elitzur Yavne maintains third position with 17-9 record having six points less than leader Hapoel T-A. Beer Yaakov lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
