VICI Kaunas cruised past LKAA-Aistes in the first game of the semifinal series. The game without a history. VICI Kaunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding LKKA-Aistes to just 6 points in first quarter. VICI Kaunas forced 27 LKKA-Aistes turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 68.4 percentage. VICI Kaunas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by LKKA-Aistes' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Ausra Bimbaite (179-82) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. International swingman Marina Solopova (180-90) contributed with 27 points and 5 steals for the winners. Four VICI Kaunas players scored in double figures. Guard Santa Okockyte (176-92) answered with 16 points and forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) added 8 points in the effort for LKKA-Aistes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
